Rose Hip Scientific Studies

In 1988 two researchers revealed their findings about application of active components contained in rose hip oil.

In a two-year study, rosehip oil was applied to 180 patients with surgical, traumatic and burn scars, as well as to a group suffering from premature aging of the skin. The results were outstanding. Researchers found that application of rosehip oil effectively mitigated scars and wrinkles, halted progress of premature aging, and restored lost skin natural color and tone.

Aged skin (photo-aging):

20 women with surface wrinkles, brown spots on the eyelids and intensely tanned skin, who usually went to the beach every day during the three months of summer in resorts by the ocean, were assessed. All participants applied rosehip oil on the face for four months. Observations were made every eight days.
